The Spartans opened up early season big ten play with an explosive victory over the Cornhuskers of Nebraska. On a day where the Spartan Football team and fans found out that the Spartans would not be heading to Florida but to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. It was definitely a good night to be at the Breslin to see the Basketball team role over yet another opponent.

It was yet another game where the Spartans were led by four scorers in double digits. Nebraska was led by James Palmer Jr with 15 a majority of those points coming from the charity stripe. Jaren Jackson jr in his first Big Ten contest pulled down a double-double and continued to send away shots. Nic Ward led the way with 22 points. Miles Bridges with 12 points. Cassius Winston again impressed able to knock down a three late and draw a foul on a four-point play to stretch the lead.

The Spartans rolled to an 86-57 victory. They have a short turnaround with a trip to Rutgers on Tuesday. Check Back Tuesday for a Look Back.
